Fees, Insurance and Payment Options
We understand that dental care is an important investment. Our approach is to be clear about fees, help you understand how your insurance plan applies, and work with you to plan treatment in a way that feels manageable.
Before starting treatment, we provide an estimate that outlines the procedures planned and the associated fees. For more involved treatment, we may also submit a pre-determination to your insurance provider so you can see how your plan is expected to contribute. If you would like to compare options or phase treatment over time, we can review different scenarios with you.
Patients are responsible for knowing the details of their insurance plans, including limits, exclusions, and changes over time. That said, we are happy to help you understand how your coverage may apply. Where possible, we submit claims electronically on your behalf, assist with estimates for proposed treatment, and provide receipts and documentation for your records.
In many cases, your insurance provider will reimburse the covered portion directly to our office at the time of claim processing, and you pay only the remaining balance. In some situations, insurance companies reimburse you directly. We will clarify how your specific plan works so there are no surprises. Any portion of fees not covered by insurance is the responsibility of the patient or guardian and is typically due at the time of service.
We accept common forms of payment, including debit, credit card, and cash. If you require more extensive treatment, we can discuss how to sequence visits in a way that fits your budget. In some cases, third party financing may be an option. If this is of interest, please let us know so we can provide information and help you explore what is available.
If your insurance plan changes, please update us as soon as possible. This helps avoid delays, declined claims, or unexpected balances.
If you have questions about fees, estimates, or how your plan works, please ask. We would rather take the time to clarify things in advance than have you feel uncertain.
